Now Accepting Monetary Donations for Milan Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #219 - Cops and Kids Program 2017

The planning for this year’s Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #219 Cops and Kids Program has begun!  Funds raised support the Cops and Kids program, FOP Lodge #219, sponsorships for local area sports activities, children’s activities, senior citizen functions, and other charitable organizations.  Without the generous support from local businesses and individuals, this program could never be possible.
FOP Lodge #219 contacts local schools, churches, Blackhawk Township, and the Blackhawk Fire Department to gain any information on families in need of assistance.
The goal of the program is to instill a positive image in the children that a police officer or firefighter is someone that can be turned to for guidance in a time of need, and not the image of the person often falsely depicted on TV.  Police Officers have the chance to interact with families without the law enforcement elements.
Any monetary amount is greatly appreciated and can be sent to Milan FOP Lodge #219, PO Box 553 Milan IL 61264, or 405 East 1st Street, Milan IL 61264.
Checks may be made payable to Milan FOP Lodge #219.
Thank you for your support.

Fire Hydrants

The Village of Milan Water Department will be flushing Fire Hydrants starting the week of September 25th from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. Flushing will begin at Well 4, by the Milan Camden Centre and finish with the downtown area. The purpose of this program is to help maintain water quality standards and the fire protection system. Be aware that you may experience brief periods of discolored water or low pressure which is normal during flushing operations. Please check water before washing clothes. Thank you.

New Posting

Please be aware of the new” NO PASSING ZONE” in front of Thomas Jefferson School.  This is an additional effort to keep our children safe in the school zone.
