Milan Recreational Path
Established in 1984, the Recreational Path Advisory Committee was created to design a plan for the future development of a linear recreational area for the Village of Milan. Members are appointed as necessary. Benefits of the path will provide activities for bikers, joggers, walkers, cross-country skiing, fishing and an overall asset to the Village of Milan.
In spring 2009, the system is scheduled to connect with the paths in Rock Island and Moline. The connection will be across the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Carr's Crossing. 50% of the cost of connecting the Milan Path to the bridge will be paid for through a grant received by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
